Guest conductors or maestro candidates?  The  Sarasota Orchestra committee is performing a search for a new maestro so this season expect to see seven guest conductors taking the podium to wow and impress the committee and their audiences.  The lineup of guest conductors include Jamie Laredo, music director of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra; Thomas Wilkins music direct of the Omaha Symphony;  Ana Tali, conductor of the Nordic Symphony Orchestra; Daniel Hege, former music director of the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra; Allesandro Sciliiani, former music director of the Colombus Symphony Orchestra; Andrew Grams, form assistant conductor of the Cleveland Orchestra; and Peter Bay, music director of the Austin Symphony.    The candidates are all mostly newcomers to the Sarasota Orchestra so this season will definitely be one to watch and attend.  Check out the entire list of performances for the season at
