Here’s Where Boat Owners Should Start a Siesta Key Home Search

Owning a boat in Sarasota is a whole lot of fun, but it’s even better if you happen to live out on Siesta Key. Known most for its lively village and pristine white sandy beaches, Siesta Key is also tops when it comes to owning a home or condo along the waterfront, and especially if you’re lucky enough to find a place with its own private dock. So whether you’re looking for a place to park a yacht or small sailboat, here are just a few great places boat owners should consider when searching Siesta Key homes for sale.

HARBOUR TOWNE YACHT CLUB

If you’re looking for something a little cheaper than a single-family home or perhaps just don’t want the constant maintenance and upkeep to go along with it, check out what’s available at Harbour Towne Yacht Club. Deeded deepwater boat docks are available here, and the complex also features a secure gated entrance, a heated community swimming pool, a clubhouse, tennis courts, and even a small picnic area.

PALM ISLAND

Palm Island is arguably one of Siesta Key’s most popular waterfront neighborhoods. Featuring a wide-ranging mix of cottages, ranch-style homes, and Key West and Mediterranean-style estates, there seems to always be a little something for everyone on Palm Island, which is especially true if you’re a boat owner. And while you’ll certainly have to pay a premium for a home with a private dock, most home owners will tell you it’s well worth the extra cost.

SIESTA COVE

Siesta Cove is definitely a place where luxury and waterfront living combine to make for one heck of a place to call home. Situated on the west side of the island, homes in Siesta Cove feel private and secluded, but you’ll also be only blocks from all that makes Siesta Key so fun an energetic. Keep in mind, however, that waterfront homes for sale in Siesta Cove rarely hit the market, so act fast if you see something available.
