Are More Sarasota Home Buyers Opting For Small Enclave Neighborhoods?

As a number of developers focus on creating large-scale communities across Southwest Florida, it’s some of the area’s small, enclave communities that continue to gain in popularity. For some buyers they’re the character-rich neighborhoods that are simply hard to pass up.

Take, for example, the ultra-private neighborhood of The Oaks at Woodland Park. With its own lake and just 75 homes to choose from, this neighborhood is only accessible by passing through another community.

Another option is North Lido Beach. The less than three-dozen homes consist of ranch homes and beach cottages dating back to the mid-century. You’ll also find some large modern estates and Tuscan-style villas in the area.

The Loop in Northwest Bradenton consists of around 50 luxury homes in a variety of styles. The neighborhood also holds the advantage of sitting adjacent to a large nature park.

Gulf Manor of Venice Island also consists of around three-dozen properties, a handful of which sit directly on the beach. While some of the original homes of Gulf Manor have since been torn down and replaced by beach mansions, the neighborhood continues to be just as charming.

Yet another great example of a small enclave community is Oyster Bay Landings across from Siesta Key. The inspirational community consists of around a dozen large estate homes grouped around a boat basin. Boasting an old-Florida vibe, the community is complemented by lush vegetation including palm trees and fruit trees.

Conrad Beach sit at the end of Longboat Key, with maintenance-free homes and white picket fences. Around two-dozen homes in all, the residences of Conrad Beach come in a Key West-style.

Finally, the northern edge of Anna Maria Island makes room for Bean Point. This beach area enjoys a combination of new luxury homes, beach cottages and old ranch houses with some fantastic surrounding views.
