2014 Florida State RV Rally
If you’re into RVing, the Florida State RV Rally is in full swing and continues through this Saturday, January 25th at the Sarasota County Fairgrounds. See RVs of all shapes and sizes, as well as a plethora of camping equipment and supplies. From teardrop campers, to pop-ups, to Class B vans, to Class C coaches, up to Class A supercoaches, it’s all right here. Taste of the Suncoast
Taste of the Suncoast is held in February and is a fundraiser which benefits the All Faiths Food Bank. It’s a great time to experience fare from near and far, and everything in between. Meet some of the best minds in culinary arts and taste the good life for a good cause. Proceeds go to the All Faiths Food Bank in its mission to stamp out hunger in the Sarasota area.
Unfamiliar Realities Exhibit at The Ringling Museum
Going on now until Sunday, March 9th, is the Unfamiliar Realities Exhibit at the John & Mable Ringling Museum. Come and experience photography like never before and behold the artists’ ability to: “exploit the particular characteristics of the medium to reframe, manipulate, or reimagine the world as captured by the lens”. Amazing sites await in this one of a kind exhibit, which simply has to be seen to be believed.
The Sarasota Jazz Festival at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall
Every year since its inauguration in 1980, the Sarasota Jazz Festival comes to life, springing sounds from artists across the jazz genre in early April. It’s a listener’s delight to hear the beauty, the complexity, and the artistry of the Jazz Festival, held at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall and it’s scheduled to take place again in 2014.
